Things my kids say Thursday

Juan and I tried to explain to Jonathan that he was half Mexican and half White. He replied with "I'm brown and I like Mexican hot sauce. He also wants 20 kids. Wonder which side he identity's with most?

Day 1 Self Portrait

This is a face of a wife, mom, maid, slave, chief, dog walker, doc, spider killer, painter, trash lady, gardener, teacher or you could sum it all up by saying stay at home mom. Which I wouldn't trade for anything :)
Me all dressed up for a hot date with the love of my life.

My friend started a 30 day photo challenge. Day 1 self portrait. You would think that is easy but it wasn't. I HATE photo's of myself for one reason or another. I had hubby take a picture for me. OK several. One of my new goals in life is to get dress or at least look like I didn't roll out of bed when hubby gets home from work. It's easy to be lazy when you are a stay at home mom :)

Our new addition!

Welcoming our new addition to our family. The boys have named her Jessie (from Toy Story). She just happens to be the best puppy. Very easy going, sleeps a lot, doesn't pee in the house, and very loving. We rescued her from the animal shelter in Long Beach, where they had found her on the streets with a few sisters. My aunt adopted one and the other one went to a great family that was in tears of joy well they where filling out the paperwork. She is a wonderful addition and the kids LOVE her :)

He's on the ice!

Love how little everything is
He's ready to go

He thought he was going to get out on the ice and be able to skate right off the bat, not what happened.

A lot of falling!

Finally got him up for a few seconds with a lot of help.

At about the half way mark, he was done and wanted to go home. We have a rule in our house. You don't have to like everything but you can't give up. Which means he needed to finish at least the first class. Has we all sing in our house when things get hard Keep trying, keep trying, don't give up, don't give up. So after a little talk from mom about not giving up and keep trying he was ready to go again.

I love how little the skates are! :)!!!!

They got him up and he was able to stand for about a min by himself. Which we were clapping and very happy for him. He even tried to do the tick tock where you rock back and forth on your skates. After he got up and saw one of his friends that can skate all over the place he was very happy and exited to go back next week. Juan is going to take him once during the week to get in some extra practice, so we shall see how it goes. He has been practicing the whole standing up thing here at home and thinks he has it mastered, so we will see once he gets on the ice again where it is a whole different story. I know Daddy and uncle Jason will be very happy to have another hockey player on their team.

Puddles + 3 year old's = FUN!!!

It has been raining for days and we're LOVING it!! Jonathan has been asking to go out and play but it has been raining so hard that it was just not possible, but today we got a few min's where it was just sprinkling so I let him out. Joshua was down for a nap so he missed all the fun. He LOVED the puddles, splashing, running, jumping, and tasting the rain.

Tell me something I didn't know.

Jonathan has asthma. We have know for sometime now, but just waiting for the doctors to say yes for sure. Now when he is sick he has to do breathing treatments every 4 hours and when he isn't sick but has that nasty cough you have all heard he needs one. The doc. did say it wasn't a bad case so they are sure it is something we can keep under control. :(

moments from the week

Our week started off GREAT and ended not so good, but we make it through.

Monday coffee with friends.

Tues going through pictures and hanging some up. This was from my Jr. prom, yes we have been together since I was 15 and Juan 17. We look so young and lets not forget SKINNY.

Wed, Disney with some of our friends to see Santa.

Having some boy talk. I hope it's not about girls. :)

Thurs. our new TV was hooked up in our room, which the boys just love. Jonathan fell asleep before 7:00, which should of been the first sign that something was off. He got up at 11:30 with a fever and then throw up all over my bed then again at 4:30. This is HIS cat that loves him just as much has he loves her. He's going to make for a great husband one day. :)

Fri. Was spent sick laying around. No pictures, but this was the night my grandma was rushed to the hospital with signs of a heart attack, where she was kept overnight. SORRY FRI's photo was deleted and I'm not going to redo all this. :(

Sat the next one was sick, up a lot the night before and having a bad day. I also lost my first mothers day present which was a ring. I have been lossing weight and it just fell right off somewhere. VERY SAD ABOUT IT! Still praying that it shows up somewhere.

The only thing that would make him happy was the Ergo, which I think was sent from God. It makes life so much easier. This is where he spend most of the day as I walked around in circles till I got news on my grandma's surgery. Which went good and she is doing GREAT!

My prayers where answered that she is doing so good. She means the world to me!

We have had one of those weeks where it started out GREAT and then hit some ruff patches.

The Elf is back!

So our Elf that Santa sends us every year on Thanksgiving day is here. When we come home from dinner he is somewhere hiding for the kids to find. This year Jonathan is really getting it, which is a lot of fun. Jonathan got up at 6:17am looked for him and then came to in our room to tell us about the magic of him flying to a new spot. Needless to say it was only the first night and I forgot to move him, but when I got up with Joshua at 5:42 I remembered and moved him. Nice save mommy! 6:17 is not my ideal time to get up, but seeing the joy on his face made it all worth it. If you haven't yet gotten the set, It's called Elf on the shelf which you can buy at any bookstore. It is a great family tradition to start. I have one for each of the kids so that when they have their own family's they can carry it on. Enjoy!

Fun Days!

It is so funny to see them all together. I can't belive how many kids there are between all of us and we were missing a few mommys and kids. Joshua was one becuase he had a fever again. My poor baby :(. Next time maybe we can get them all togther and get all the little moneys in one shoot :) It sure does make for a fun, loud, and messy playdate, but we wouldn't change it for anything. :)

Watching the doggy swim.

Getting ready for Halloween

I just have to say that I love shooting on Manual. These were taken with out a flash just my changing your shutter speed you can get such a different shot. :) Just a little photo info.

The boys got these really cute Halloween light things from Aunt Debbie. As you can see they love them and thought they would make the greatest nightlights.
